we spent another lovely weekend in germany. it was wonderful to hang out with friends. so we had a chocolatey sin straight out of the oven to celebrate the long weekend.
this moelleux au chocolat, or lava cake, is a recipe from a friend and former fellow student. we, a bunch of girls, used to eat it on tuesdays while watching sex and the city on the french tv station (because it was quicker in showing new episodes) in rotating homes. those were nights of lighthearted girls' talk and laughter. needless to say, i only have good memories of that cake.
its liquid center is divine, something between a cake and a mousse. unfortunately, we didn't have any small, heat-proof moulds or cups. so this bigger version was a bit too liquid in the center - but just as tasty.
